Co-creating change

WITH ORGANISATIONS
I help organisations – including large, complex global organisations – co-create solutions to culture-related challenges.
SUCH AS
- A leadership team knows it needs to reset the culture of the organisation, but is not sure where to start or how to go about it
- An organisation’s values are not well understood and don’t seem to mean very much in practice; it’s no longer clear to staff or external stakeholders what the company stands for
- A company wants to retain its commitment to inclusion but needs to revisit its approach so it’s more integrated into the business, and is not clear about how to achieve that.
My approach is collaborative, participative and inclusive, engaging stakeholders across the organisation in working together to create positive change. Here are some examples of the work I’ve done with organisational clients to support them in addressing culture-related challenges:
A large, complex global organisation wanted to redefine its values, behaviours and culture. I partnered closely with the leadership and OD team to design a highly participative process involving leaders and staff across 80 countries.
I worked together with the client to gather and refine insights on the cultural shifts that were needed through interviews, focus groups, workshops and surveys, staying close to senior leadership throughout. The outcome was four values and five behaviours that were genuinely co-created – not imposed – giving the organisation real ownership and a strong foundation for long-term cultural change.
The Chief Executive of a global organisation wanted to increase the demographic diversity of its senior leadership.
I worked with the People & Culture team to design and run a participative inquiry into senior talent management and recruitment processes, chaired by the CEO. We worked alongside internal stakeholders to interpret the data and shape practical recommendations for leaders, hiring managers and the People & Culture team itself. Because the process was inclusive and client-led, the conclusions felt owned from within, creating clarity, commitment and real momentum to evolve the approach to senior recruitment for the future.
WITH TEAMS
I help groups and teams – including senior leadership teams – achieve their potential through co-creating solutions to challenges in how they work together.
SUCH AS
- Leaders and managers are implementing major change in their teams at the same time as going through change themselves. They need a safe space to share their experiences and get support for their own well-being and performance as well as that of their teams.
- Teams are working in silos, which is getting in the way of collaboration and innovation.
- A senior team is struggling with issues of trust and safety, impacting their capacity to lead, and need support to surface their current dynamics and how they might work together more effectively in the future.
My approach is a relational one, grounded in Gestalt practice, supporting teams to build their capacity to work together better. Here are some examples of the work I’ve done with groups and teams to help them work better together.
CASE STUDIES
A large global organisation wanted help with developing the skills of a group of widely-dispersed volunteer change agents, who were supporting culture change at a local level.
Through a combination of bespoke webinars, capacity-building workshops, sponsorship, coaching and mentoring support I helped the client create a cohesive, impactful and active community of volunteers to support the change.
A newly-formed leadership team was struggling to collaborate, and wanted to get to know each other better.
I worked with the client to co-create a series of workshops that explored individual strengths, vulnerabilities, hopes and fears, as well as alignment around collective vision and purpose for the future. Together we designed limited-risk ‘experiments’ that helped foster deeper connections and ways of working differently together.

WITH LEADERS AND MANAGERS
I offer one-to-one and team/group coaching support to senior leaders and managers, enabling them to understand themselves and their contexts better, and find solutions to the issues that matter most.
SUCH AS
- A senior leader in an organisation going through significant change, who needs a safe space to help make sense of the experience.
- A global inclusion lead whose budget and team is being cut, who is looking for coaching support to help them think through options for themselves, and the team.
- A head of organisational development (OD), who wants to explore personal and professional challenges on a regular basis with other OD professionals.
I believe that everyone has the ability to find their own solutions; my aim is to support you to do so. Here are some examples of the work I’ve done with individuals.
CASE STUDIES
- One-to-one coaching support for a newly-appointed senior leader navigating organisational change.
- Coaching support for a senior executive exploring ‘what’s next’ for them and their career.
- Peer-to-peer (action learning) facilitation for a group of global inclusion leaders.
